TCM Body Tuina Therapy

The Chinese term “Tuina” translater into “push-grasp” in English, and this particular art of healing has been in used for more than 2,000 years in China. This therapeutic method is performed through various hand techniques such as brush, knead, roll/press, and rub. The areas between each joint are massaged to stimulate the body’s defense in order to get the energy (Qi) moving in both the meridians and the muscles. It can strengthen the body’s resistance against disease, thus preventing invasion of pathogens especially in middle-aged, elderly, and physically weak people. In conclusion, “Tuina” can be used for both prevention and treatment of diseases.

TCM Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a method of healing developed in China at least 2,000 years ago and has been scientifically proven by modern medicine. It helps to regulate the flow of vital energy and blood by inserting and manipulating fill-form needles into points on the body with the aim relieving pain and therapeutic purposes.

TCM Cupping (Ba Guan) Therapy

Cupping is an ancient Chinese technique that helps stimulate the flow of bodily fluids (such as blood and lymph) and energy without using needles. A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues. When the cups are left in place on the skins for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localized and healing takes place. It calms the sympathetic nerves, allows deep relaxation, and is widely practiced in both Western and Eastern medical practices.

TCM Scrapping (Gua Sha) Therapy

This therapy regulates organ functions, removes blockage and pain. It regulates static blood by promoting normal circulation between the muscles, tissues, and organs directly beneath the surface treated. The patient experiences immediate improvement in stiffness, pain and mobility. Normal metabolic processes are restored by the movement of fluids as nutrients are carried to the tissues and metabolic wastes are carried away. The unique part of this treatment is that the red spots only appear on places where the disorders are hidden, thus making it easier for the practitioner to address the problem.

It helps to remove postural imbalance and structural misalignments that are accumulated over time.

This herb, or moxa, comes in many forms such as, cigar-like moxa rolls, raw rice grain-sized pieces, compressed smokeless sticks and cones. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Mugwort is considered to be earm, acrid and bitter when used in herbal prescriptions. As soon as it is lit up, it warms the body’s channel and helps to break stagnation, clear phlegm, ease blood flow and balance the Qi. Moxibustion can be considered an equivalent therapy to acupuncture, being used to stimulate Qi flow points of selected areas of the body.

It is therefore an effective way of alternative healthcare and wellness.
